A new featurette for Disney/Pixar’s Up has been released, and inside we get a peek into the research the team did to build the jungle world we visit in the film. For inspiration, the crew trekked to a remote area in Venezuela that looks like another planet. In this 2:30 presentation, titled Inside Up: Discovering a Lost World, we also see brief interviews with co-directors Pete Docter and Bob Peterson. Up floats into theaters on May 29, 2009.

At this rate, we’ll have seen the whole film by May 29th, when Disney/Pixar’s animate film Up hits the theaters. In this latest sneak-peek scene, a beleaguered Russell begs Carl for a bathroom break.

Another short clip from Disney/Pixar’s upcoming feature Up has turned…. up. This new “UPisode” as they’re calling them sees Russell atempting to apply first aid to his new friend Carl. Up hits theaters on May 29th in Disney Digital 3D.

Feast thine eyes on this, animation fans – the latest trailer for Disney/Pixar’s Up is here. We’ve seen Carl and Russell before, but this our first look at Dug, the dog that speaks through a talking collar. The story is starting to take shape here too, as we see some of the pitfalls that await our adventurers on their journey. I’m torn – I wanna know more, but I don’t wanna know more. Oh, alright – I’ll go watch it again. The film hits theaters on May 29, 2009, and it’s being directed by Pete Docter (Monsters, Inc).

Disney-Pixar’s Up hits theathers on May 29th, but they’re already starting to sneak out clips from the film. The TV spot shown during the Super Bowl didn’t divulge much we hadn’t already seen, but the clip titled Animal Calling sure did. Watch Carl and his tag-along pal Russell navigate the savage jungle.

Oooooo – a new clip from Pixar’s “up”coming feature Up, which hits theaters May 29th, 2009. Below, Mr. Fredricksen finds Russell has come along for the ride.

The trailer for Pixar’s newest film Up is up!  The visuals in this new assembly are rich and beautiful, but it’s not very clear what the movie is about (IMDB says it’s a “coming of old age” story with a seventysomething hero, alongside his clueless wilderness ranger sidekick). Pixar has taken many gambles in the past that have paid off well and having a 70 year old star in this next CGI yarn seems like their latest risk.  But Up, which is directed by Pete Doctor (Monsters, Inc), will probably be like every other Pixar film – and that’s GREAT!  As we await the Summer 2009 release, we’ll be watching closely for more trailers and sneak peeks – so keep your eyes aimed at Lineboil.
