The Art and Making of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs comes out today, and it got a great review from the team at The Character Design blog. The film is in theaters on September 18th.

National CineMedia, the cinema advertising company, has teamed up with LensCrafters on a new animation sweepstakes. The winner and 3 guests will be flown to the premiere of Sony Pictures Animation’s Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. As part of the promotion, they’ve posted an exclusive clip from the CG film, which hits theaters on September 18th.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is still a couple months away, but while you wait – feast your eyes on this second trailer. You’d think this was an NBC production, what with all the Saturday Night Live cast members involved. Bill Hader, Andy Samberg and Tracy Morgan all came to the table for Sony Pictures Animation’s newest CG feature – and so did Mr. T. You hear him in around the 1:00 minute mark. Ilion Studios’ Planet 51 is still on track for a November 20, 2009 release, and a second trailer has been revealed. This $60 million CG feature about a reverse alien invasion is being released by TriStar Pictures.
