Today marks the online release of Pigeon: Impossible, his 6-minute CG comedy/action short that follows a rookie secret agent who lets a pigeon get between him and his Inspector-Gadget-like nuclear briefcase. The film has already picked up handfuls of awards at various festivals, and now it looks to become a viral hit. Congrats, Lucas!
About a year ago, Lucas Martell posted his first YouTube video announcing his intention to finish the 6-minute short Pigeon: Impossible. 11 months later, he has posted the trailer of this project that began almost 5 years ago. The story ask the simple question “what to do when a curious pigeon gets trapped inside your multi-million dollar, government-issued nuclear briefcase,” but Martell’s journey through production was anything but simple. By the time he finished the project last month, he has ensnared nearly 100 volunteers to help him bring the film to life. Congrats on hitting the finish line, Lucas!
