Strap in tight, Lineboil readers. Here’s a short that requires your full attention – Mac ‘n’ Cheese. We teased this CG short last month, and now the full 3-minute piece from the Netherlands is available for viewing. This drug-addled romp through the desert was inspired by Team Fortress 2 and Meet Buck. The sequence starting at :45 seconds is particularly effective, but I enjoyed the whole damn thing. Amazing work from 4 students at the Utrecht School of Arts – Tom Hankins, Gijs van Kooten, Guido Puijk and Roy Nieterau.

Krab en Meeuw is an upcoming CG short created by 3 students at HKU (Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht), an art school in Utrecht. Percy Tienhoover, Jasper van Nieuwenhuizen and Vincent Bisschop directed this story about a crab who just wants to be left along, but he keeps getting interupted by his friend. It was produced in conjunction with Bureau Blits, and what I love is the CG work looks like it was produced with clay. Here’s the trailer:
