Check out this strange and violent trailer/pitch for an animated series by the name of Cat Shit One. It was directed by Kazuya Sasahara, and it’s based on the manga property Motofumi Kobayashi (released in the USA as Apocalypse Meow). The series is due out in 2010.
Sure, we all played with toys when were kids, but none of us has played with toys like this. Below is an episode from a serialized Transformers Gundam stop-motion project, titled What’s This, created by a Japanese artist who goes by the name Plamo.
This Japanese stop-motion short by KMT88 pays homage to some classic stop-motion of years past. We see Gumby, Ray Harryhausen’s Cyclops and a California Raisin. Is digestion considered “homage?” The short is titled Pink the Cat.
Origami Butterfly is Shigeru Okada’s latest stop motion short that looks like it might have taken month to make. But, according to his YouTube page, this short only took him about 4 days. The short starts out slow, but give it a chance:
