Detroit Institute of Arts Get Animated

posted by Aaron

Julian Grey at Head Gear Animation directed 4 animated ads for the Detroit Institute of Arts. Being a Detroit native myself, I’m proud of the DIA, which has recently re-opened after extensive renovations. It’s considered by many to the be the cultural epicenter of Detroit, and it boasts works like Vincent van Gogh’s Self Portrait and Diego Rivera’s Detroit Industry frescoes. Perich Advertising + Design oversaw the creative on these spots, which were physically animated by Sean Branigan and Julian Grey. Here’s the spot titled Thinker.
