Eric Robles’ (The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy) new series Fanboy & Chum Chum received a 26-episode order from Nickelodeon back in 2008, and the Frederator team has been doing a wonderful job of cataloging the production process on their blog. This week, we get a sneak peek at the series main title, which is still a work in progress. This sequence was directed by Shaun Cashman, boarded by Niki Yang and Andy Kelly and animated by Michael Franceschi, Erik Kling and Dennis Shelby.

Nickelodeon announced a few new series orders today. The one that caught our attention was Fanboy and Chum Chum, which features some of the freshest designs seen on children’s TV. Eric Robles who was also the mastermind behind The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, created the series, and I’ve seen beautiful art and storyboards on the producer’s website.
