Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted hits US theaters on June 8th, and below is clip that’s just been released. The GC feature was helmed by Eric Darnell and Tom McGrath, who directed the first 2, and they’re joined this time by Conrad Vernon (Shrek 2, Monsters vs. Aliens).
The Madagascar movies have never been much a critical success, but it hasn’t stopped DreamWorks’ Animation’s bank account from filling up. I’m going to go out on a limb and say this next one, Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted, will be a bit more of a critical darling, while also backing up a Brinks truck. Watch this new trailer and see if you agree with my guesstimate. The feature is due on June 28, 2012.
Alexis Wanneroy, a character animator at DreamWorks Animation, co-directed this documentary short below that highlights the personal work of several artists at his place of work. The short, which features a special appearance by studio boss Jeffrey Katzenberg, is a promotional piece for Moonshine, a book that celebrates “the art work that [DreamWorks] artists create for the sake of creation.”
In a continuing effort to lean on all things viral, the Puss In Boots marketing team rehashes the original Old Spice spot that started all the madness. Well nicely executed, this one feels a little late to the party.
In this new CG promo, Puss In Boots is recast as “The Most Interesting Cat in the World,” giving a nod to the long-running, iconic Dos Equis ad campaign.
The latest teaser from the upcoming DreamWorks Animation feature Puss In Boots, which has spun out of the Shrek series. The CG feature arrives on November 4th of this year, and it was directed by Chris Miller (Shrek the Third).
If you’ve seen Kung Fu Panda 2, you may have left the theater early and missed out on this end credit sequence. Produced in the Chinese shadow puppet style, the segment offers some of the origin story of how Po ended up at Mr. Ping’s.
