The Toronto-based production companies Alchemy and Lunch produced this series of stop-motion spots for Scoop Away cat litter. Eric Makila and Jamie Webster direced, and DDB San Francisco was the ad agency leading the creative. Here’s one titled Beach.
I won’t tell you what product this is for, or it will spoil the gag. The company is Philips, the Agency is DDB London and the spot, titled Squeaky Clean, was directed by Orlando Cubitt from Flynn Productions.
Not satisfied with a simple BLT, McDonald’s has gone and created their own acronym sandwich…. the CBO. Sounds like Chief Burger Officer to me, but it actually stands for Chicken, Bacon, and Onion. To help promote the new sandwich in countries like Switzerland, France and the Czech Republic, McDonalds teamed up with DDB Prague and director Wolfberg at Stillking Films to create a website and this stylish, sci-fi TV spot, titled Heavenly Steak:
By way of Green Dot Films, Three Legged Legs directed this new spot for Wrigley’s Extra gum. The campaign is creatively driven by creative director Susan Pranica out of DDB Chicago. Character animators Jameson Baltes, Regev Gamliel, Matt Nava and Robin Steele helped bring the characters to life.
Curious Pictures’ Abe Spear directed this animated spot for the BC Dairy Foundation’s Must Drink More Milk campaign. DDB Canada, Vancouver guided the creative on this spot, titled Arm Wrestling.

Any one reading this site SHOULD know what a zoetrope is, and if you don’t you might wanna brush up on your film/animation history. Animation has come a long way since this little invention where a viewer once had to spin this cylindrical device and stare into the tiny slits to see a rapid succession of images produce the illusion of motion. Now, all one need to do is create a few images on a digital timeline with the touch of a keyboard or tablet, and then hit enter to see the motion of images instantaneously. But in the case of Ayse Unal, of Anima Istanbul, and compostor Ilhan Poyraz, they have teamed up to recreate the experience of viewing a zoetrope in a modern way with this promo for Instanbul’s IF 2009 independent film festival.
Commissioned by Medina Turgul DDB, Ayse Unal, led a team of artists which included Ilhan Poyraz, Enes Bilgin, Jean Michel Berhorel, Flash animator, Erhan Gezen, and music composed by Cevdet Erek. Spotted on Motionographer.com.
Know what a cellphone charm is? I think South Korea is responsible for starting this phenomenon, but I just don’t get it. There’s no purpose for it. It’s like a rear-view mirror for your coffee mug. Anyway, Cosmo Campbell at Bent Image Lab in Portland was the creative director on this clever spot for the BC Dairy Foundation (for their Must Drink More Milk campaign). They were brought in by Tribal DDB, Vancouver, and Rob Shaw directed the spot, which is aptly titled Cellphone Charms. Eric Scheur and Dennis Rivera animated.
