Touting Memphis Area Teachers’ Credit Union’s zero ATM fees policy, the gang at Buddy System Studios have produced a new :30 second spot. Animation direction was handled by John Harvatine IV and Eric Towner, and the ad was led by Creative Director Walter Rose at CS2 Advertising.
What a small world! My cousin-in-law, John Harvatine IV, co-produced this stop-motion spot for Emerald Nuts, and it was directed by Terry Rietta. Harvatine and Eric Towner (Robot Chicken), by way of their shop Buddy System Studios, brought this to life along with animators Ethan Marak and my cousin Liz Harvatine (Moral Orel). The 1-minute spot is titled French Squirrel Goes Nuts. Great looking piece, guys!

Grammy-nominated artist Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em has teamed with Annie Award-winning animation director Eric Towner (Robot Chicken) for his new animated series. Below is the first sample of what to expect on this upcoming online project – it’s the Theme Song and title sequence from the new show, appropriately titled Soulja Boy Tell’em: The Animated Series. Towner and his Buddy Systems Studios partner John Harvatine IV (my cousin-in-law) are directing and producing the entire series, which is due to premiere this month at tellem.tv.
At the front of Soulja Boy Tell’ Em’s lastest music video, he premieres a clip from his upcoming animated series for Tellum.tv. And according to the Hollywood Reporter, Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em: The Animated Series is due to hit the web in late January with three episodes. The series will follow Soulja as he returns to high school. My cousin-in-law, John Harvatine, is on the animation team along with his pal Eric Towner. Together they make up Buddy System Studios.
