In Disney’s 1940 animated film Pinocchio, the wooden puppet gets all loopy on a cigar, so we’ve always known he was a bit of a bad-ass. Live-action director Luiz Ferré recently led the team at Bossa Nova Films through the production of this spot featuring Pinocchio on the lamb. It’s an ad for Conar, a Brazillian organization that help the ad industry self regulate misleading advertising.
PepperMelon director Tomas Garcia recently helmed this new, musically-driven commercial for MySpace. The spot it titled Oh My.
In 2008, Brazilian-born director Nando Costa teamed up with illustrator/painter Betsy Walton on this web film for Premiere Global Services. Costa, a partner at Oregon-based Bent Image Lab, worked through his company Nervo and muh-tay-zik to produce the piece, titled Paper Airplane.
Director Luciano Neves and Brazil’s Tribbo Post produced this evolution-themed PSA for TckTckTck, a “global alliance of non-government organizations, trade unions, faith groups and individuals calling for an ambitious, fair and binding climate change agreement.” The CG piece titled Adaptation was conceived at Y&R, Brazil.
