Passion Pictures’ Moving Mural

Patrick Jean at Passion Pictures directed this new spot for Credit Confidential, titled Mural Man. I believe a good portion of this was painted on actual walls, while Yann Benedi and Celine Desrumaux (Celine & Yann) provided the character designs.

Third Episode of Giant Rains Down

Below is the 3rd installment of the animated short series Giant, which was created by the UK-based team known as Celine&Yann. The episode, which will screen at next month’s Pictoplasma event in Berlin, includes a very plucky score (by David Kamp) that also helps inject some sound-effects along the way. The episode is titled Cloud.

Desrumaux and Benedi Challenge Your World

For the Challenge Your World event in Montreal on the 19th of this month, Celine Desrumaux and Yann Benedi produced this 2-minute animated film. It’s titled La Chaussettologie (chaussette is a sock), and it is a sustainability parable that centers on a sock factory’s harmful production methods.

Yann and Celenie’s WWF Domino Effect

London-based Wyld Stallyons recently produced this new WWF PSA that encourages us all to become activists. Directors Yann Benedi and Celine Desrumaux worked with writer Jason Arber to craft a short tale of how one simple act can have a domino effect on major issues like climate change and wildlife protection.

Jesus Condemns Pope’s Condom Comments

Candian stop-motion maestro Patrick Boivin animated on a soap box for his latest comedy short – Condoms are bad? He pokes at Pope Benedict’s recent, wreckless remarks about condoms, in which he claimed that rubbers don’t help stem the brutal tide of the AIDS epidemic.

Get a Glimpse of Gary

Last October, CartoonBrew.com tipped us off on Gary, the student short from Supinfocom. At the time, only clips were available, but now the entire 6:30 minute film is available online. The short was directed by Clément Soulmagnon, Yann Benedi, Sébastien Eballard and Quentin Chaillet.
