After Comedy Central so generously bequeaths to us a new episode of South Park tonight, our TVs will begin receiving the first episode of Ugly Americans (10:30pm / 9:30c), a new 2D series created by Devin Clark (developed and written by David Stern). The show originated as an Atom.com series called 5ON, which we featured on our sister site ColdHardFlash back in 2007. The series, which is being produced out of Augenblick Studios, with animation from Cuppa Coffee is already getting strong reviews. Below is the first 10 minutes, which introduces us to Mark Lilly, an employee at the Department of Integration, who toils away in a New York city overrun with monsters, robots, and magical creatures. As they say in the episode, “if you like it normal, why bother coming to New York?”

The new Comedy Central animated series Ugly Americans is lurching toward your television. The Flash-animated series, which is being produced by Augenblick Studios (Superjail) and Cuppa Coffee, was created by David M. Stern and Devin Clark. The series premieres March 17th at 10:30pm/9:30c, and below are few new clips:

Creative directors Thomas Schmid and Orion Tait at Buck led a team of artists through production on this Mountain Dew spot, titled History. The ‘Dew has rebranded themselves, donning a logo that reads “MTN DEW,” and to commemorate the event, Pepsi turned to Buck to visually explore the evolution of the fizzy beverage. Buck turned to Augenblick Studios to execute the cel animation.
