Archer Plots 2nd Mission on Your Television

posted by Aaron

Interesting fact: the first season of Adam Reed’s animated FX series Archer performed better than the intial season of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, now in its 6th season. And that’s surely one of the reasons it was picked up for a 2nd season, consisting of 13 all-new episodes. Archer returns to FX in January, and here’s one of the first teasers:

Archer Gives You Job Offer Tonight

posted by Aaron

A new Archer episode, titled Job Offer, hits FX tonight at 10pm. Archer is watched by a little less than a million viewers each night, but that’s enough for it to get a second season pick-up. I’ve heard it’s relatively inexpensive, so I’d expect to see many seasons of this show on FX.

Reed’s Archer Premieres Tonight on FX

posted by Aaron

Adam Reed’s new series Archer kicks off tonight on FX at 10pm. This new arrival bodes well for the prime-time animation world, adding FX to the list of networks that “get” why animation can be such a powerful force. Of course FOX is “dominating,” and Comedy Central is aiming to bolster the groundwork laid down by South Park, Adult Swim is neck-deep in animation and MTV has announced a renewed effort to go after this segment.

So here’s a teaser clip from the series, which is being produced by Reed’s Floyd County Productions and Radical Axis. I love the line “Karate? The Dane Cook of martial arts?”
