Australia’s Tui Studios has crafted a new iPhone app that features some stylish character animation. Produced with Anime Studio and After Effects, the animation took about 3 weeks. It’s titled Monster Melody Mash, and it lets users mix melodies with motion to create all sorts of funky rhythms. Here’s a trailer:
In what seems to be a brewing tradition, the Get a Mac ads take a trip to stop-motion-town during the holidays. Last year we were sung into alliegance, while this year they trim a tree and meet a new fury friend. The 2007 spot was produced at Laika/House and developed by TBWA, and I suspect this year is no different.

Last weekend, a new episode of The Simpsons debuted titled Mypods and Boomsticks. By the end of the episode (spoiler), Lisa Simpson meets Steve Mobs, the CEO of Mapple. I know there’s a reference to something there, but I can’t put my finger on it. Anyway…. check out this sequence where Lisa visits the Mapple store.
