Preceding the latest Cavalcade of Comedy short last week was a creepy, new animated spot promoting the new Nike LeBron 8 shoe. Here’s the commercial.
To help stoke the burning excitement over Nike’s new Zoom Kobe 5 basketball shoe, the MVPuppets have ignited two more ads featuring LeBron and Kobe. Legacy Effects handled the puppetry.

The NBA season is back in full swing, and so are the MVPuppets. You may have seen the Dunking Reindeer video on Monday – it’s all part of the NikeBasketball.com ad campaign featuring puppet versions of Kobe Bryant and LeBron James. The puppet work is handled by Legacy Effects. This is part 1 of the Mystery of the Missing VII, which promotes LeBron’s Air Max Lebron VII shoe:

Kobe and LeBron have already dunked on every damn player in the NBA, so now it’s time to go after new targets. The MVPuppets are Dunking On Reindeer in this new music video that was produced by Legacy Effects for NikeBasketball.com.
Director Dan Lowe at ChezEddy manned the controls on this new 8-bit inspired spot for Nike. It features Manchester United’s Patrice Evra and the designs of Yassine. Animation was handled by The Dark Room.
Barcelona-based Big Lazy Robot Visual Effects created this spec ad, titled Exploit Yourself, for Nike. Carl Erik Rinsch directed the ad, which took 4 months to produce.
