Kunta Animated Feature Launches in China

A big-budget (relatively speaking) Chinese animated feature hits theaters today, titled Kunta (I’ve also seen it labeled as ‘Bunta‘). The film is set on a “quickly desertifying planet” where a boy named Boca seeks a path to survival. Over 150 people worked on the film over 3 years, and it was produced at Zhejiang Versatile Media. The film’s cost was reportedly US$16 million.
