The guest-artist campaign initiated at The Simpsons has brought us brilliant ‘couch gag’ sequences from the likes of John Kricfalusi, Bill Plympton and now the Robot Chicken team. Stoopid Buddy Stoodios has crafted a stop-motion intro that leaves you wanting more:

Riahi Paints His Animation Turquoise

Playing off the theme of ‘exotic travels,’ Iranian-born animator Reza Riahi produced this 1-minute short titled Turquoise. It was created at French animation school La Poudrière, and the results are very engaging and gorgeous.

Micro Madness is an action-packed, rubber-burning, explosion filled thrill ride, all produced at the micro-scale of the 1980s toy hit Micro Machines. BYU Students Snag Another Student Emmy For Estefan

Estefan, a group project that involved over 40 students, took the top prize, and below you can see some shots from the 6-minute, CG short. The short follows an eccentric hairdresser challenged with the cut of a lifetime.
