The Madagascar movies have never been much a critical success, but it hasn’t stopped DreamWorks’ Animation’s bank account from filling up. I’m going to go out on a limb and say this next one, Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted, will be a bit more of a critical darling, while also backing up a Brinks truck. Watch this new trailer and see if you agree with my guesstimate. The feature is due on June 28, 2012.

Laika’s follow-up to Coraline is a stop-motion comedy/thriller titled ParaNorman, due out in August of 2012. Here’s the first trailer, in which we meet Norman, the only kid in town who can communicate with the zombies overrunning the city.

In an Adventure with Scientists (aka The Pirates! Band of Misfits). Check out this trailer for Henry Waltz, a new feature film from Hungarian director Emil Goodman. It’s more of a journey into the production design than a true trailer, as we learn very little about the characters or story, but it’s easy to get lost in the fantastic land Goodman has constructed. It’s not the future, it’s not the past, and it’s not steampunk. I think it’s a world all his own…
