A team of 5 artists at ESIA in France have completed their graduation film, titled Higherbid. We meet two industrious competitors who try to outmatch eachother using whatever means necessary. The film was created by Céline Vivier, Fabien Bougas, Guillaume Dumas, Laurent Boucher and Arseni Fedoseyev.
Five students from Gobelins l’école de l’image created this film below as part of their professional internship at WIZZ Design. Remi Bastie, Nicolas Dehghani, Jonathan Djob Nkondo, Nicolas Pegon and Jeremy Pires directed this live-action video that was then merged with some brilliant animation, making for a very watchable experience. This short, comedic, dialog-free film by Guy Garibian was created during his second year at The Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. The traditionally-animated short is simply titled Three Giraffes.
Hambuster is the 6-minute graduation film produced by five students from Supinfocom Arles. The CG film (produced in steroscopic 3D) takes a fresh look at food in a rather horifying way. Here’s a short segment from the film.

Bertram is new short directed by Lára Gardarsdóttir, Michael Mauritzen and Karen Johansson. They created the film during their studies at The Animation Workshop in Denmark. We meet Bertram, “a little boy, who, while struggling with his homework, dreams himself into the future where he experiences how it is to be a pilot, a zoo keeper and other amazing things.”
Hai Puka is Lucie Mayjonade’s graduation short from her studies at the French animation school L’Ecole Georges Méliès. In this traditionally-animated short, we watch a little girl chase an imaginary goldfish, while being persued by an ominous shadow monster. It’ll make more sense when you watch….
