Sydney-based animator Beini Huang took home the top prize at the 2011 Toronto Student International Film Festival (TSIFF). The award was for A Divorce, a 4-minute film about a man reflecting on the dissolution of his marriage.

SVA Student Produces Animated Mirror

Old Man and a Piglet Emerge From Beijing Film Academy

Six women at the Animation School of Beijing Film Academy have delivered a very touching, animated film about love lost and what could have been. The Old Man and the Piglet is actually a story about an old man and his sweetheart, who is introduced well into the 9-minute film. Sun Yiran, Wang Xingchen, Chen Xi, Zhang Yi, Zhao Xiadian and Chen Lingzi directed the film, which features gorgeous production design, and a grainy effect that helps with the overall nostalgic mood of the project.
