Tomas Redigh’s stop-motion lego short is blasting to the top of the Most Popular list over at YouTube today, and it’s a hard earned victory. Redigh spent over 1,500 hours (assuming 12-hours of work, that’s 125 days) crafting the film, which is titled 8-bit Trip.
Paul Whittington (aka Carrot Kid), has turned the harmless act of drinking carrot juice in a crime scene. The Juiced Carrots is Whittington’s latest stop-motion short film.
Like millions of us netizens, Jelle van Dun, an animator based in the Netherlands, recently joined Twitter (twitter.com/jellevandun). He subsequently asked people to name an everyday object, which he would then bring to life through his art. The result is this stop-motion tale of terror on the high seas. It’s his first Twitter Animation Improvisation:
The original Comedy Central South Park pilot is currently available for viewing over at SouthParkStudios.com. It’s not the original South Park film, which was The Spirit of Christmas – Jesus vs. Frosty, which you can see below. It’s the first half-hour show, Cartman Gets an Anal Probe, which premiered on Comedy Central in 1997. As you can see in this inset image, this episode was the only all-construction-paper produced for Comedy Central, and it’s only going to be on the site for 30 days. Here’s the second stop-motion commercial for Close Up Finger Skateboards, featuring their mascott character Skull Boy. The first was a pretty huge hit on YouTube.

Agency on the spot, titled Bottle Rocket, was David&Goliath.
