Max Winston’s animation test for a Nickelodeon show is now on display. The series, which sadly isn’t moving forward, is titled The Woods. I want to go to there!
Frangin is a 5-minute short by Geoffroy Moneyron. We meet a young boy who devises an unconventional way to track down his brother who has gone off to war. The short was produced at EMCA Angoulême.
The Scottish indie pop band Belle & Sebastian has just released Late Night Tales 2 along with a new stop-motion music video. Stephen Tolfrey directed this video, titled Crash (a cover of the song by The Primitives):

The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists (aka The Pirates! Band of Misfits) hits US theaters on April 27th, but the film sets sail for those lucky Brits on March 28th. The film, which is being directed by Peter Lord and Jeff Newitt, is based on Gideon Defoe’s book series, and is being produced by Aardman Animations. Here’s a clip:
Dadomani Studio in Italy produced this new stop-motion short titled TheBox – Poltergeist. Animator Dario Imbrogno uses unique character models to tell a story about a a dog and his master who are both addicted to TV.
