I just spotted this music video on Darcy Prendegast’s Facebook page – it’s for the Frenzal Rhomb track When my baby smiles at me I go to rehab. The clip was produced by IMOV Studios in Belgium.
Put on your headphones for this next one – it’s a music video by Paf Paf, a team of 5 CGI designer/animators from across France. They are Corentin Bachelet, Gilles Cortella, Augustin Clermont, Adrien Jalade and Juliette Grandjonc, many of whom are attending Gobelins in Paris. The track is from the Canadian band Misteur Valaire. Très Magnifique!
San Francisco-based Kevin Parry recently directed a new stop-motion music video for the Canadian band Kalle Mattson. Parry spins the globe and walks us through a simple topic – the history of the world – while throwing in a guess at how it all ends. Parry animated along with Carla Veldman and Andrew Wilson. The track is titled Thick As Thieves.
Following up on his Danger Beach music video, Ned Wenlock is literally ‘rolling out’ a new piece for MGMT. The track is titled All We Ever Wanted Was Everything, a cover of 1982 Bauhaus song.
Yes, this took as long as you think it would have (22 months). Enjoy the painstakingly-animated stop-motion music video for Kina Grannis’ track In Your Arms. Directed by Greg Jardin, by way of Radical Media.
Remember Trucker’s Delight, Jérémie Périn’s pornographic 64-bit music video? If you saw it, you probably can’t forget it. Périn’s latest video also delivers some rather unforgetable moments, and a few very rewarding surprises. Here’s his animated interpretation of Fantasy from the group DyE. [NSFW - nudity]
Kristofer Ström, whose work we’ve featured here a number of times, directed this new music video for Delta Heavy, a drum & bass, electro group that brings to mind the sounds of Skrillex. The track is titled Hold Me, and Ström animated along with Erik Buchholtz.
