The Scottish indie pop band Belle & Sebastian has just released Late Night Tales 2 along with a new stop-motion music video. Stephen Tolfrey directed this video, titled Crash (a cover of the song by The Primitives):
Emmanuelle Walker has just published a pulsing, seductive, unofficial music video for Royksöpp’s 1999 track So Easy. [NSFW - animated nudity]
Yeesh! Has it been a year and a half? I think so. Late 2010 was the last time we saw a proper animated Gorillaz clip. A painful span, no doubt, but today, thanks to Converse, we’re back in business. Here’s DoYaThing, featuring Gorillaz, Andre 3000, and James Murphy, which was directed by Jamie Hewlitt. Storyboards can be found over at CBR.
Nerdcore hip hop artist MC Frontalot as delivered a few animated music videos in the past, but not one with puppets. Until now. His latest creation was directed by Max Isaacson, who also helmed the MC’s Spoiler Alert video. Here we’re invited to a stoop sale in Brooklyn to rummage through a variety of ephemera and, well, garbage.

Partizan director Mr. Hoku lead the charge on this new music video for the duo known as Evelyn Evelyn. The clever concept, of foggy window animation, was brought to life by lead animator Adam Bolt, who also handled character design. The track is titled Have You Seen My Sister Evelyn?
I just spotted this music video on Darcy Prendegast’s Facebook page – it’s for the Frenzal Rhomb track When my baby smiles at me I go to rehab. The clip was produced by IMOV Studios in Belgium.
Put on your headphones for this next one – it’s a music video by Paf Paf, a team of 5 CGI designer/animators from across France. They are Corentin Bachelet, Gilles Cortella, Augustin Clermont, Adrien Jalade and Juliette Grandjonc, many of whom are attending Gobelins in Paris. The track is from the Canadian band Misteur Valaire. Très Magnifique!
