This may appear to be a spoofy trailer for Kung Fu Panda 2, but I’m guessing that it’s actually a sneaky promo for McDonald’s as well. McDonalds has always been and continues to be a partner on the franchise. More power to them, I suppose, as they don’t bang you over the head with the McDonald’s logo, but the whistling soundtrack doesn’t do it for me. The energy of the KFP franchise deserves more of a Taco Bell heavy metal vibe.

Mater is the true star of the Cars franchise, and here’s a clip featuring him from the upcoming sequel Cars 2. The film is in US theaters on June 24th.

As many of your know, John Lasseter, who hasn’t directed a feature-length film since Cars in 2006, is helming the sequel.
