This may appear to be a spoofy trailer for Kung Fu Panda 2, but I’m guessing that it’s actually a sneaky promo for McDonald’s as well. McDonalds has always been and continues to be a partner on the franchise. More power to them, I suppose, as they don’t bang you over the head with the McDonald’s logo, but the whistling soundtrack doesn’t do it for me. The energy of the KFP franchise deserves more of a Taco Bell heavy metal vibe.
DreamWorks Animation’s Kung Fu Panda 2 arrives in theaters on May 26th and we’re now getting to see some full clips from the CG sequel. Here’s one titled That Was My Fist.
As many of your know, John Lasseter, who hasn’t directed a feature-length film since Cars in 2006, is helming the sequel. Due out on June 24th of this year, the concept for Cars 2 has deep roots that go back to the development years of the original. Here’s Lasseter himself detailing how the project emerged:
