Check out this trailer for Henry Waltz, a new feature film from Hungarian director Emil Goodman. It’s more of a journey into the production design than a true trailer, as we learn very little about the characters or story, but it’s easy to get lost in the fantastic land Goodman has constructed. It’s not the future, it’s not the past, and it’s not steampunk. I think it’s a world all his own…
Disney/Pixar just released a new promo clip for Cars 2 which spoofs a number of popular US-market TV series, like Law and Auto: SUV, Dancing With The Cars, Dr. Fill It Up and American Idle. The CG sequel is in US theaters on June 24th.
If you’ve seen Kung Fu Panda 2, you may have left the theater early and missed out on this end credit sequence. Produced in the Chinese shadow puppet style, the segment offers some of the origin story of how Po ended up at Mr. Ping’s.
Don’t expect aspirational animals and insects with attitude in this CG feature film – it appears much closer Blue Velvet than Blue’s Clues. Heart String Marionette is the 2nd feature film from M dot Strange, who can be seen at the 1:30 mark, hustling his book and promoting the film. He “has no friends and no Facebook” but he does have a nearly finished film. I’m intruiged but also a little scared:

Remember that 2010 teaser for Ronal the Barbarian? Here’s our second look at this Danish CG film from the creators of Terkel in Trouble.
