Santana Gets 1st For Number 1 Run

Flavio Santana was recently crowned as the winner of February’s 11 Second Club competition. Working off a clip from Parks and Recreation, Santana delivers very energetic facial acting and a subtle by hysterical ‘gotta-pee’ run. Congrats!

Nagy’s January Submission to the 11 Second Club

Peter Nagy, the October 2009 winner of the 11 Second Club, has placed another trophy in his case. His submission for the January competition took the top spot, using dialog from the 1975 film Deewaar. Nagy has also posted a making-of video over on Vimeo.

Star Wars Movie Challenge Hails The Solo Adventures

The 2010 Star Wars Fan Film Movie Challenge has come to a close, and a number of animated films took home prizes. Including The Solo Adventures, directed by Daniel Smith, which took home the Best Animation prize. It’s a student film produced by the students at the DAVE school.

Recreations of Sesame Street’s Pinball Number Count

Remember the Pinball Number Count shorts on Sesame Street? They were filled with colorful, frenetic animation and those funky jams! It was the The Pointer Sisters after all, so no wonder we can’t get that song out of our heads. The originals were directed by Jeff Hale, who animated on Heavy Metal, and directed on the original animated Transformers series and Muppet Babies.

Below are a pair of updates on the classic that were created for the Aniboom Sesame Street competition. The first, which won the competition, was produced by Florence Animation and animated by Rita Bozzo, Stefania Demichelli and Martina Prest.

This second one uses music from Perrin Cloutier of the band Beirut, and stop-motion animation by Abbey Luck.
