SFR, the French mobile phone company, has launched a new, CG TV spot aimed at the younger, digital audience. We’re introduced to a group of friends all connected by their handheld devices. The spot was animated by Wanda Productions. The ad is titled No Game Over.
Matt Robinson and Tom Wrigglesworth directed this clever spot for HP, titled Hit Print. Their student short from last year got HP’s attention and now their work is sponsored. Well done, lads!
AT&T is really leaning on animation these days. Following up on their Rethink Possible spot that featured Gene Wilder’s vocal stylings, we get an undersea adventure that hints at a Whole New World. But this isn’t The Little Mermaid‘s world – it’s a darker environment that illustrates how a young fish can expand his boundaries. This CG spot was directed by Eben Mears at Psyop.
Lipton Brisk iced tea has a history of stop-motion animated TV spots. You may recall Bruce Lee, James Brown and Sylvester Stallone all staring in puppet form in their ads. The latest to do so is Chuck Liddell, the MMA champ. Here’s a 4-minute piece that was directed by Adam Elendand and Jeff Marks, animation directed by Tatia Rosenthal titled The Way of the Brisk: The Untold Story. Bright Red Pixels produced, while Rosenthal and David Bell animated.
PepperMelon animated this new spot that promotes the coverage of the World Cup in the UK newspaper The Guardian. The ad is titled Gola Mondo, and PepperMelon’s Tomas Garcia directed, while Martin Dasnoy, Julio Velazquez and Franco Carlesimo animated. The agency on the job was Wieden + Kennedy, London. Here’s a high-minded new stop-motion spot from ink.digital, the creative shop in Scotland. They’ve teamed up with the Scottish Government and The Leith Agency to produce a spot for the Zero Waste recycling campaign. It was directed by Ruaraidh Gillies.
