Lucas Zanotto, who is based in Berlin, directed this series of spots for the online job portal Look4U.it. We see a number of people laboring through jobs they don’t like, using simulated sped-up footage. A cool look, and great timing.
Andy Martin designed and directed this new spot for J20, a new soft drink by Britvic. It’s actually a pub quiz, and it comes in three parts. Here’s one:
Brand New School’s Robert Bisi directed this spot for TiVo’s latest product, the Premiere. We’re whisked through past decades and multiple animation mediums in 20 seconds. The spot is titled TiVo is Here:
Crowdsourcing has become quite controversial for a number of reasons, but I also feel like the term is being mis-used. The brand managers of the meat snack Peperami recently held a competition to find a new ad for their media campaign. Maybe I’m old-fashioned, but I’d call this a competition. Only one person or team really works on the resulting elements, but in a real crowdsourced situation, like the Second Life virtual world, thousands upon thousands of people colloborate and mutate eachothers’ work. The Peperami team wasn’t the first to do this, by a long shot. While Doritos has become known as the brand that really took advantage of this advertising trend, radio jingle competitions have been around for over 90 years.
Here’s the winning submission for the Peperami contest from advertising executives Kevin Baldwin and Rowland Davies.
The talented team at The People’s Republic of Animation (PRA) brought this new spot for Bridgestone to life. This new CG spot is titled Bumper Cars.
Studio AKA’s Marc Craste directed this new CG spot for the BBC Weather website. One Step Ahead started airing this week. The agency on the job was RKCR/Y&R, London.
Glass and a Half Full Productions called upon Moving Picture Company to created this highly-entertaining 1:30 minute ad for Cadbury, who are a sponsor of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. It’s titled Spots vs Stripes, and it pits two squads of undersea competitors versus eachother in a game I’d describe as seaweed balloon popping. Very clever throughout, brilliant CG work and a easily one of my favorite spots of 2010. Nick Gordon at Academy Films directed.
Glass Half Full Productions, which is owned by Cadbury, were behind the immensely popular Cadbury Eyebrows ad.
