Gunnarsson, Jonatan Brüsch, Ágúst Kristinsson, Arna Snæbjørnsdottir, Esben J. Jespersen, Touraj Khosravi and Polina Bokhan. You have my permission to sing along – fist pump!

Gobelins Grads Team Up For Theatrical Short

A new dialog-free short, titled Cinq Point Hein, is now in distribution in France, playing in theaters for The Week of Sound. It’s directed by former Gobelins students Chloé Bury, Daniel Ferretti, Maïté Xia and Mathilde Le Moal, along with supervising director Aïda del Solar.

SVA Student Produces Animated Mirror

Q-hyun Kim, an animation student at New York’s School of Visual Art has revealed a teaser for an upcoming thesis project titled Mirror. Eighteen months in the making, the project follows two cats from different worlds who swap places. The full short will arrive next month. Stay tuned!

Paf Paf Quintet Bands Together For Misteur Valaire

Put on your headphones for this next one – it’s a music video by Paf Paf, a team of 5 CGI designer/animators from across France. They are Corentin Bachelet, Gilles Cortella, Augustin Clermont, Adrien Jalade and Juliette Grandjonc, many of whom are attending Gobelins in Paris. The track is from the Canadian band Misteur Valaire. Très Magnifique!

New Trailer For Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted

The Madagascar movies have never been much a critical success, but it hasn’t stopped DreamWorks’ Animation’s bank account from filling up. I’m going to go out on a limb and say this next one, Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted, will be a bit more of a critical darling, while also backing up a Brinks truck. Watch this new trailer and see if you agree with my guesstimate. The feature is due on June 28, 2012.

Psyop Packages Enchanted Forest For FedEx

Smuggler and Psyop have teamed up yet again to produce a gorgeous TV spot. They’ve conjured dancing, singing forest creatures to illustrate how FedEx has built a more sustainable fleet. Here’s Enchanted Forest, which was directed by Marco Spier and Marie Hyon.
