In last night’s South Park episode, titled The F Word, loud, motorcycle-driving yahoos got a high-octane beatdown by Cartman. Ouch. Watch the full episode now over at SouthParkStudios.com.
Despicable Me isn’t out until July 9th next year, but we’ve already got a second full trailer. This one is being co-directed by Pierre Coffin, Chris Renaud, and Sergio Pablos – and animated at Universal’s Illumination Entertainment.
Ilion Studios’ Planet 51 will touch down in theaters on November 20th, but distributor Tristar Pictures may feel like they’re screening on the dark side of the moon…. a new moon that is. All the world’s focus will instead be on The Twilight Saga: New Moon, the highly anticipated sequel to the megahit Girls Dig Robert Pattenson (alternatively titled: Twilight), which releases on the same day. However, the million or so people who won’t get to the theater in time to land tickets very well might plunk down $8 for Planet 51. One of our Lineboil operative is previewing the film this weekend, so we’ll give you a heads-up next week. Here’s some EPK footage to tide you over:
Return of Alice is the upcoming sequel to American McGee’s Alice, the 3rd-person PC game released in 2000. The Spicy Horse game isn’t due out until 2011, but a teaser has emerged. This stop-motion piece was pitch created by Troy Morgan (Song of the Mermaid) aimed at the EA team.
With the immense popularity of Glee here in the States, I suspect a campaign like this will be well received. Alas, it’s for the UK. The video promotes Sign Up, a campaign aimed at bringing singing back to schools. The production was handled by Transistor Studios, and the lead animator was Jamie Rockaway. The agency on the job was AMV BBDO.
Yesterday we posted the first full trailer for DreamWorks Animation’s next feature – How to Train Your Dragon, which hits theaters on March 26, 2010. Today we spotted the international trailer, which includes a number of sequences not included in the domestic release.
Cartman confronts a bunch of motorcylists headed to the Harley Festival in the latest South Park episode, titled The F Word (10pm Wednesday on Comedy Central). After suffering through dozens of car alarms on my street going off every time some modified motorcycle rages by our house, I can’t wait to see how this episode goes down. Knowing how clever Trey Parker can be, I’m guessing the “F Word” doesn’t rhyme with “duck,” but I have a suspicion it may rhyme with “bag.” Any thoughts, South Park fans?
