The french animation studio nObrain directed this new music video for the artist JP Nataf. The live-action/animation composite is titled Viens me le dire (Come Tell Me).
The stop-motion sorcerers at Screen Novelties recently took a trip to Bikini Bottom to honor a TV animation legend. By way of DUCK Studios, Mark Caballero, Chris Finnegan and Seamus Walsh directed and produced this :45 second opening sequence for Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants 10th anniversary special. I’m pretty sure that Cee-Lo Green from Gnarls Barkley is providing the vocals here.

Swedish animation studio Meindbender recently busted out a series of Cartoon Network ID shorties. Olov Burman directed the CG idents (in Maya), which look like stop-motion, right? Here’s two:

Tonigth at 8:30/7:30c on ABC in the US you can see the premiere of Prep & Landing, the TV special about the Santa’s special ops elves. Here’s a behind the scenes piece featuring executive producer John Lasseter. The half-hour project was produced at Walt Disney Animation Studios and directed by Kevin Deters and Stevie Wermers-Skelton.
Rob Shaw at Bent Image Lab directed this spot earlier this year for Tetra Pak, the Swedish packaging company. Brett Superstar designed the characters, while Max Perleman and Eric Urban were the primary animators.
Brown Bag Films’ 6-minute short film Granny O’Grimm’s Sleeping Beauty is now available online. The film, which was recently short-listed for the 2010 Oscar for Best Animated Short Film, was written and voiced by Kathleen O’Rourke and directed by Nicky Phelan.
The crew at UK-based Chopsy Animation are ahead of the curve. A pair of Ricky Gervais animated projects are in the works, but a couple years back they shot this stop-motion sequence, title Monkey Boy, which I believe pulls audio from Gervais’ podcast.
