Warsaw-based Alek Wasilewski is set to release a new 15-minute animated shorts, titled Lucky Day Forever. Alek had this to say about the new film:

While I’ve been fairly successful with doing Flash animations (I love you Internet!) and could have painlessly followed that path as many web authors did, launch a webseries and start selling coffee mugs and such… something constantly kept pushing me to do a “pro” film, make a real animated film instead of another Flash cartoon, not a sole effort but collaborative one, with real scope and budget… After some pretty tough but pretty exciting times of trying (rather fruitlessly) to live that dream, one day something happened and there was Lucky Day Forever.

Idan Vardi, a graduate of the Minshar School of Art in Tel-Aviv, has served up a teaser for his graduation film. The 10-minute project is aptly named Graduation Film, and it incorporates a similar look and feel to Vardi’s earlier work Woods, which you can see online thanks to AWNtv.

A new Archer episode, titled Job Offer, hits FX tonight at 10pm. Archer is watched by a little less than a million viewers each night, but that’s enough for it to get a second season pick-up. I’ve heard it’s relatively inexpensive, so I’d expect to see many seasons of this show on FX.

One of the funnier pieces to come out of Seth MacFarlane’s Cavalcade Of Cartoon Comedy was Die, Sweet Roadrunner, Die – an almost existential look at an animation classic. The short was re-released on YouTube recently, and a new, :30 second, animated Priceline bumper was bolted to the front. It’s worth another look.

The new Comedy Central animated series Ugly Americans is lurching toward your television. The Flash-animated series, which is being produced by Augenblick Studios (Superjail) and Cuppa Coffee, was created by David M. Stern and Devin Clark. The series premieres March 17th at 10:30pm/9:30c, and below are few new clips:

The LumberJack is yet another fine graduation from The Animation Workshop, an art school in Denmark. The story is an examination of the effects of technology on work, nature and the way we live. The 4:30 minute traditionally-animated film was directed and designed by Laura Büchert Schjødt, who animated along with Per Klausen, Sarah-Mia T. Nielsen, Louise Bergholt Sørensen and Frederik Villumsen.

The lucky few got a sneak preview of Freaknik: The Musical, featuring T-Pain this week, when Titmouse Inc screened it at an LA premiere. The rest of us will have to wait until Sunday night 11:30pm E/P on Adult Swim. Here’s another promo:
