Snow White Restored For Blu-ray

The Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Two-Disc Blu-ray set arrived yesterday, featuring a newly restored picture. While this 1937 release wasn’t the first feature-length animated feature, it WAS the first feature-length, cel-animated project, and it’s surely the best known of the original efforts (Rotten Tomatoes lists it as 2nd best animated feature of all time). For those of you who haven’t made the jump to Blu-ray, the standard DVD format is still 7 weeks away, but this Blu-ray offering is already the #1 best selling DVD over at Amazon. In the meantime, enjoy the original trailer for Snow White, which claims the film is “as funny as a haywire comedy.” Ya don’t say!
