Baas Ushers Penguins Into Skylight

By day, David Baas runs the animation department at Starz Animation in Canada. However, outside of work, he’s been a busy man as well. His directorial debut is an independent CG short titled Skylight, “a mock animated documentary about the ecological plight of penguins in the Antarctic.” The film will screen at the FirstGlance Film Fest in Philadelphia which starts on October 22, 2009. Baas also wrote and animated the short, and you can see a short teaser for it below:
