Supinfocom Animators Enter Canal J Contest

Supinfocom Arles students Marc Bouyer, Axelle Cheriet, Max Loubaresse and Anthony Vivien created this 1:30 minute short titled Scoop Volante (Flying Scoop). It’s a fast-paced alien-invasion romp that was produced even faster. The foursome made it in 4 weeks and submitted the short to a student animation competition run by the French network Canal J. Les Espoirs de l’Animation 2009 challenged animators to work off the theme “Dans la lune, pour le meilleur ou pour le pire” or “In the moon, for better or for worse.” The newspaper at the end reads “les aliens sont parmis nous” which roughly translates into “the aliens are among us.” Watch Scoop Volante below and then head over to the Canal J site to watch another 53 submissions.
