1950 Masterpiece The King and the Mockingbird Re-Released

The King and the Mockingbird, a 2D animated film directed by Paul Grimault, and originally released in 1952, is being re-released this year. Hayao Miyazaki has listed the film as a major influence, and its receiving rave reviews on RottenTomatoes.com. The 85 mintue film rolls out this weekend in a limited release. Here’s the trailer:

    This is weird. The film has been in the public domain for a long time, under a different title. A very nice legal copy is available for download here:
